AmpSurf challenged us to design a prosthetic leg surf attachment that would enable users to sense foot placement on the board without relying on visual cues. Our solution involved modifying the surfboard’s stomp pad by adding tactile channels that guided the prosthetic into position. Although the user ultimately moved forward with a different team’s design, the project gave us valuable experience in rapid prototyping and deepened our understanding of human factors in adaptive equipment design.
