Vintage Van Restoration
Welcome to my curse! The obsession that haunts me... and fuels me.
The 1960's Brazilian 23 window VW Bus has always been my dream car, but this 1984 VW Vanagon is the closest I can get... for now :) This car has also left me stranded in some unfavorable places, but more importantly it has taken me on some incredible adventures!
While I won’t exaggerate the engineering lessons from this van, I’ve chosen to include it in my portfolio because it represents hundreds of hours of blood, sweat, and tears. Like anyone who owns a vintage vehicle, I’ve had to continually repair, maintain, and upgrade its systems. These experiences demanded persistence, technical troubleshooting, and practical design thinking.
Origin Story
Check out some of my favorite upgrades!
Roof Top Deck
I designed and fabricated the roof deck with the help of a water jet, break, and MIG welding
Solar Panel and Aux Battery
Set up a solar panel and aux battery system to connect with the starter battery and alternator through a controler.

Wiring Rebuild
I rebuilt the rats nest of faulty wires throughout the entire electrical system.
